It is the culmination of the League’s domestic season on Saturday as CB Hounslow take on Sutton Common Rovers in the Final of the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup at Windsor FC, kick-off 3.00 p.m.
By virtue of having finished second in the Premier Division and giving Chertsey a run for their money until the final month, SCR will start as favourites, with CB not entirely sure of retaining their place at Step 5 until the last day of the season. Anyone though who watched CB’s very young squad take on and comprehensively beat 3rd placed Abbey Rangers, redoubtable opponents generally, in the semi-final would not write them off.
All in all, it could be a superb match upon the excellent surface at Windsor. If necessary, there will be extra-time and penalties.
Entrance is pegged at £8 for adults with concessions for OAP’s and children Under 16. It is a good opportunity to thank the League’s main sponsor, Cherry Red, who will be represented today along with current and ex-Presidents of Middlesex County FA, namely John Davies and Jim Taylor.
