Dan Huxley Resigns

Manager Dan Huxley has today advised us that he is to leave us at the end of the season, following our match at Chessington & Hook United.

He writes:

“It is with deep regret to announce that I have tendered my resignation as manager of the yellows and will step down after the last game of the 17/18 season.

“My management team and I came in under difficult circumstances, a quarter of the way into the season with no points on the board and a mass amount of goals shipped.

“Our agreed objective with the committee was to climb from the foot of the table and to safety. The journey wasn’t as straightforward as we anticipated, but with a game to go we now sit 5th bottom, and are the form side in the lower end of the table with 3 wins in our last 4 games.

“One more push against Chessington and we will achieve the season’s end objective.

“I’d like to thank the committee, players and all else in and around the club for the support throughout the season, and hope to see the club kick on next term!”

Chairman Brian Barry has bounced back with the following statement:

“Dan and his team have certainly kept the club afloat since their arrival and they have met our desire.

“We have had a bad couple of seasons since being promoted and relegated within a short turnaround, and suffered a very poor start to this season’s campaign due to managerial issues.

“We thank the current management team and wish them all well in their future endeavours.
