Additional Youth Cup

At a Management Meeting last Monday, it was decided that, in addition to the Grant-McLellan Youth Cup which attracts Under-18 sides from outside the CCL and has run successfully for many seasons now, there will also be an Under-18 League Cup, just for those sides specifically playing in the CCL Youth Divisions.

With the decision only made on Monday, Vice-Chairman Tony Ford who handles the youth fixtures was quick off the mark and the draw for the 1st Round was made on Thursday at Redhill FC, by Jerry O'Leary and Nigel Abbott of Redhill FC, under the strict supervision, of course, of the CCL Inspection Team of Tony, Alan Constable and Chris Jones.

Here is the draw and dates for the matches will be announced in due course.

Having dipped its toes into youth football, the CCL is determined, despite a few early teething problems, to develop its youth football involvement and hopes to attract more clubs next season. This new competition is just a step along the way.
