London Senior Cup

Balham involved

Despite their ground share at Colliers Wood United, who affiliate to Surrey County FA, Balham FC, are parented to the London FA and are our only entrants to the London Senior Cup. Newly promoted to our Premier Division, they have received a home tie in their first ever match in the competition, against Spartan S. Midlands League club Cockfosters.

Although not quite as glamorous as the FA Cup itself, it will be a match worth winning for Balham as AFC Wimbledon await the 1st Round winners in the 2nd Round. The Wombles would be unlikely, one would think to field too many 1st Team players, but, unlike many other league clubs, at least they take part and lend their name to the competition.

Pictured is the Chief Executive of London FA, Lisa Pearce. She and her team made the CCL representatives very welcome at the aforementioned Cup Final last season, played at Corinthian-Casuals FC.
