3rd Round of Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup almost complete

Concentration upon cup matches has been the order of this week, with four more ties in the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup now completed.

SCR enjoyed a 5-0 win over Redhill on Monday evening and there were three more ties on Tuesday evening. Godalming came from behind to defeat Chessington & Hook 3-2, whilst Knaphill eased past Div One Kensington Borough 2-0, both sides having a man sent off. Arguably the most impressive result was the 5-0 win achieved by Division One Cobham against Premier side Farnham Town.

Along with either Worcester Park or FC Deportivo Galicia, who play on Saturday, Cobham will be one of only two clubs in the Quarter Final draw, to be made on Monday 11 December at the next Management Meeting.

Horley put up a good fight against Kingstonian in the Surrey Senior Cup but eventually lost 0-2 whilst CB Hounslow rather walloped Frimley Green 7-1 in the Southern Combination Challenge Cup, to become the first side into the semi-final.

Spelthorne Sports beat Spartan S. Midlands club Cockfosters 3-2 in the 1st Round of the Middlesex Charity Cup, their reward being a home tie against neighbours Bedfont & Feltham.

Finally Conquest FC deserve a mention for their performance in the Middlesex Senior Youth Cup on Monday after they travelled to Ryman Youth Club Staines Town and came away with a 2-0 victory.
