The weather was not a problem in the Combined Counties League at the weekend and Hartley Wintney continued their dominance, picking up a 1-0 win away to North Greenford United, Adam New scoring the goal in the first half.

The gap at the top of the table is now a colossal 24 points, with the title looking as good as settled. Second place is currently held by Westfield, who beat mid-table Guildford City 2-0. Westfield have now won their last couple of games as they look to get their form back on track. Knaphill had been one of the sides towards the top few of the table but suffered their fourth straight defeat on Saturday, going down 4-0 to Sutton Common Rovers at Gander Green Lane. Five wins in their last six have taken SCR 15 points clear of the relegation zone. Bedfont & Feltham are deep into that zone, and their woes continued with a 4-0 home defeat against Farnham. The game was as good as done at half time with the Hampshire side three goals to the good. Raynes Park Vale picked up a vital point with a 0-0 draw at Hanworth Villa to keep their survival hopes alive, but still sit some 10 points from safety. Badshot Lea are the other side currently in deep trouble – they were beaten 2-1 at home to Abbey Rangers. Having won their last two games previous to this however they will be confident of bouncing back. There was an impressive crowd of 170 at Windsor, and those who attended were treated to an entertaining game seeing the home side twice come from behind to take a point against CB Hounslow with a 2-2 draw. One of the big winners of the day were Walton & Hersham, who hammered Colliers Wood 4-0 at Wibbandune, two goals in each half doing the job against a Wood side with just one win in their last ten games. The Swans move to within two points of Epsom & Ewell, who drew 2-2 at Spelthorne thanks to a late Dan Dean equaliser. Earlier in the game The Salts had missed a penalty. Elsewhere in the Premier Division AFC Hayes and Horley Town played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Both of those sides are now without a win in five however.

Banstead Athletic remain in control of Division One after a 4-0 victory over Dorking. Athletic are now just a couple of goals away from hitting 100 for the season in the league. Chessington & Hook sit in 2nd place though they have played four games more than the top side – they kept the gap at five points after a 3-1 home win against South Park Reserves. After 12 straight wins Redhill finally dropped points at the weekend, being held to a 2-2 draw at home to Frimley Green. Redhill had plenty of chances but squandered many and were hit on the break effectively by the visitors who twice equalised. Balham are now the form side of the league with four straight wins – they secured an excellent 4-2 win at Worcester Park to remain firmly in promotion contention. By contrast Epsom Athletic have now suffered 14 straight defeats, their 5-1 loss at Sheerwater coming as a surprise to nobody. Fellow strugglers Cove have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks but suffered a 3-0 defeat at Bagshot at the weekend, the Combined Counties new boys now just five points off a promotion spot. AC London are also just about still in the mix after a convincing 4-0 win away to Farleigh Rovers, whilst elsewhere in Division One Staines Lammas beat Ash United 2-1 and Eversley & California won 2-0 at Cobham.
