FA Decision Received

In common with our fellow leagues, we have received a letter this afternoon from the Football Association confirming their decision with regards to football at Steps 3 to 6 for this season.

It has been decided that the current season is “ended with immediate effect and all results will be expunged. This will mean no promotion or relegation of clubs between Step 3 to 6, or relegation from Step 2”

The planned re-structure at the end of the current season has been deferred until the start of the 2021/22 season.

The decision will come as a huge blow to those of our clubs at or near the top of the table but the matter is obviously out of the League’s hands.

Leagues/divisions at lower levels, including our U18 and U23 sections, will be able to make their own decisions but the FA is recommending that they follow the FA lead.
