Two New League Officers

Welcome Paul and Lee

The CCFL Board has approved the appointment of two new league officers to co-ordinate referee observers within the League.

Referees Secretary, Martin Etheridge, said he was "very pleased to welcome Paul Turner (Abingdon) and Lee Cable (Woking) to the officiating team. Both are experienced observers and have a wealth of senior refereeing experience in their own right. They will play a key role in contributing towards our stated aims of improving officiating across the CCFL and supporting every official to achieve their full potential".

Paul will be the main point of contact for the FA, whilst Lee will focus on the growing area of observer training and development. His work will start almost immediately. Following the first of two FA led workshops for potential CCFL observers last night, a number of attendees have already put themselves forward for the induction and training process towards full accreditation.

Over the coming months, Martin, who has been covering Observers on an interim temporary basis since November, will begin the handover process .
