"Winners" Summary

All the honours for the current season are gradually being resolved, and we start with Hartley Wintney FC, (pictured) who won the Premier Division for the second season in a row and will be elevated to Step 4 for next season.

Westfield also kept up the good work throughout the season and finished in 2nd place, 12 points ahead of 3rd placed Hanworth Villa.

In Division One, Redhill took just the one season to get back to Step 5, finishing worthy winners, with Banstead Athletic 8 points behind in 2nd place.

Also hoping for promotion are 3rd placed Balham, a huge achievement in their first season at this level. Their promotion depends upon what the FA decide when they announce their allocations, which is likely to be towards the end of the week, if they follow the same timing as last season.

In the cups, Westfield crowned probably their best season ever with a 4-1 win over Epsom & Ewell in the Premier Challenge Cup Final. A third minute goal set them on their way and really they never looked back, Epsom’s goal coming right at the death. As always Windsor were immaculate hosts and once again the pitch was in nigh perfect condition.

Our clubs have also done well in “outside” cups. Firstly, in all CCL affair, Worcester Park triumphed over Banstead Athletic in the Final of the Surrey Premier Cup, winning on penalties in a highly exciting game.

In the Southern Combination Challenge Cup, another all CCL affair, Sutton Common Rovers enjoyed a 4-1 victory against Camberley Town, whilst on Saturday afternoon, Balham did the League proud beating a strong Glebe FC side from the Southern Counties East by 3 goals to 2 in the Final of the London Senior Trophy, played at Corinthian-Casuals FC.

To come this week there are three more finals to end the season. On Tuesday the Under-18 sides of Abbey Rangers and Windsor will meet in the Final of the Grant-McLellan Cup at Bedfont Sports, which will be an excellent opportunity for CCL followers to view the enhanced facilities at Bedfont, including their impressive new 3G surface. Kick-off is 7.45 p.m.

On Wednesday Fleet Town and Hartley Wintney will battle it out in the Final of the Aldershot Senior Cup, at Aldershot FC whilst the very last match will be next Saturday, 13 May, at Bedfont & Feltham FC, who will host the Final of the RPM Records Division One Challenge Cup between AC London and Redhill, kick-off 3.00 p.m.

We are aware that the Division One table shown on the website is inaccurate, which is doubtless due to a problem that lingered throughout the season. This problem has hopefully been corrected for next season and we have asked Pitchero to correct the table currently showing.
