Various matters

Firstly, commiserations to Worcester Park who enjoyed the bulk of the possession on Friday evening against Nottsborough in the Surrey Premier Cup Final at Sutton United, but couldn't take their chances leaving Nottsborough to win by two goals to nil.

The Skinners will now doubtless re-double their efforts in their next Final, the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup Final next Saturday, against Knaphill at Beedfont Sports FC.

The first of the League's finals was concluded on Wednesday evening when Chessington & Hook United U18 beat Conquest by two goals to one. Aided by a first minute goal, Chessington doubled their lead but Conquest pulled one back before half-time but couldn't pierece the Chessington defence again leaving Chessington to take the inaugural Youth Division Under-18 Cup.

This afternoon, Saturday, we have the Esoteric Recordings Division One Challenge Cup Final at Windsor FC, between Eversley & California and Staines Lammas, kicking off at 3.00 p.m.

There are a couple of changes to the weekend's fixtures. Firstly champions Westfield who play their final CCL match this afternoon away to Abbey Rangers, will kick-off at 4.00 p.m. rather than the usual 3.00, whilst on Monday, it will now be Cobham who travel to South Park Reserves, rather than FC Deportivo Galicia. Kick-off on this one is 3.00 p.m.

The change is because the South Park/Cobham match was postponed for a waterlogged pitch last Monday but it needs to be played sooner rather than later as Cobham are very much involved in the promotion race from Division One and the FA will be pushing to see in what order the clubs at the top have finished.

South Park's match against Deportivo will be scheduled for the following Saturday although the clubs may well get together and play it earlier. Thank you to both Cobham and Deportivo for helping out with these last minute fixture re-arrangements.
