Terry Buss, Hanworth Villa

From Dave Brown, Hanworth Villa

This afternoon at Redhill, Hanworth Villa goalkeeper Terry Buss will be making his 600th appearance for the club in what has been a magnificent career

Terry joined Villa when he was 16 playing in our U18’s team which was the team that brought on most of the players who played for HV FC when we entered the CC FL.

Terry has been outstanding as a goalkeeper in almost all his competitive games and showed tremendous loyalty towards the club on the many occasions he was approached to join teams in higher leagues. He did succumb once and went to Chipstead but was back within 2 weeks.

He played in our famous FA cup run a well as the many finals we have played in over the many seasons.

The club is very proud to have a player who has given so much to the club and despite a couple of seasons wandering the wilderness he returned towards the end of last season winning the Middx Charity Cup and has been ever present this season which, despite our lowly league position, has been one of his very best seasons.

It is rare today to see one player making so many appearances for one club and the League sends its heariest congratulations to Terry upon this momentous achievment.
