Horley & Shoreham to Donate Winnings

FA Cup Prize Money to go to the Fund set up for the players who lost their lives in the Shoreham Air Accident

Following the Shoreham Airshow tragedy last weekend, and with Horley due to travel to Shoreham FC for an FA Cup Preliminary Round tie this Saturday, Town's 1st Team Manager, Anthony Jupp, supported by the club, has made a very generous proposal.

He has said that if Horley win this weekend, they will donate £500 from their winnings to a fund in memory of the two Worthing Utd footballers killed in the tragedy. Matthew Grimstone and Jacob Schilt, who lived in Brighton and played for Worthing, were travelling to a game at Loxwood when their car was hit by the Hawker Hunter jet on the A27 north of Shoreham on Saturday afternoon.

Shoreham have said that they will make the same gesture, so a donation to the fund is now guaranteed.

Anthony tweeted that he hoped other clubs in the football family might be willing to join Horley and Shoreham in committing to this. Any clubs interested in joining in can make their donation via http://www.gofundme.com/bh2pr7dm
