New Manager at Eversley & California

Eversley Appoint Phil Ruggles

Phil Ruggles has joined Eversley & California FC as 1st team Manager.

Phil joins from Frimley Green where he has been in charge for just over a year since taking over there last year from Paul Miles. He was unable to keep Frimley in the Premier League last season, but has worked this season to provide a sound base upon which to move forward.

Phil, who previously managed at Knaphill, sees the potential of the Club and is looking forward to taking control for Saturday's home game against South Park on Saturday. The Club is confident that he will be able to build on the current team spirit and lead Eversley to promotion to the CCL Premier Division.

Phil brings with him Steve Lynch who was also at Frimley. Steve was a senior referee but gave up the whistle in favour of management. He has previously managed at Alton Town and Ash Utd.

Frimley Green chairman Matthew Flude announced the news, saying: “we'd like to thank Phil for his efforts this season and assistance with being part of the changes made in taking this club forward. We wish him well with his future endeavours. Any further statements regarding a new manager will be released in due course.”
