Paul Johnson is the Man

Sports are delighted to confirm Paul Johnson has agreed to become 1st team manager at Bedfont Sports

Paul Johnson will become Bedfont Sports 6th Manager and will take charge of the 1st team for our home game against title chasing Camberley Town on 19th December.

Paul came to Sports a few months ago to play for us after leaving Spelthorne Sports. After an impressive CV playing for Wycombe Wanderers, Staines Town, Hampton & Richmond and Ashford Town, Paul stepped into management with Spelthorne Sports. In his 1st full season he won the CCL division 1 title, the Division 1 Cup, and also finished Runners Up in both the CCL Premier Cup and the Southern Combination Cup. Last season saw him guide his Spelthorne Sports Team to 6th In the CCL Premier, before leaving this season.

Paul will be joined by his most trusted lieutenant Gary Ross, who was his assistant at Spelthorne Sports. Gary has an Impressive CV himself, He holds his UEFA B licence and has worked at Fulham, Southampton, Reading and Crystal Palace. He also worked at Ashford Town before joining Paul at Spelthorne Sports.

Jimmy Hibburt has also agreed to continue in his role at Assistant, which is another boost for the club. However Terry O'Sullivan has decided to leave his role as 1st Team coach. Terry has been ever present at the club over the years and the club are sorry to see him step down, but as a Bedfont Sports man I'm sure he will not be a stranger. The Club would like to say a massive thank you to Terry as always he has always been there for the club in their hour of need and he will be sorely missed with the 1st team.
