"Matches of the Day" Bedfont Sports v SCR and Cobham v Worcester Park

The current midweek has seen very little action with Walton & Hersham's match at home to Farnham being the only senior game to go ahead. It was an absolute thriller though, with Walton just coming out on top by winning 4-3 to re-claim 3rd place in the table, albeit on goal difference against SCR.

There is a full weekend schedule and hopefully the weather will have relented. Leaders Westfield face a tricky away encounter at CB Hounslow, whilst Bedfont Sports entertain Sutton Common Rovers in a huge game for both clubs with just a point between them in 2nd and 4th. Walton themselves will not find it easy, albeit that they are at home, to Camberley.

The brief revival at basement boys Epsom & Ewell does not seem to have lasted and they are at home to Abbey Rangers, who have won four and drawn two of their last six league matches. Just above Epsom are Godalming Town who desperately need to win at 19th placed Colliers Wood United if they are to close the gap between 2nd and 3rd bottom.

In Division One, the "match of the day" is undoubtedly between Cobham and Worcester Park, neither of whom have suffered defeat for a long time. A win for Cobham who are currently eight points behind Worcester Park but with two matches in hand would certainly level things up a bit but a win for Worcester Park would seem them starting to look unassailable at the top. Second place Sheerwater, who have stormed up the table this season are away to bottom place Bedfont & Feltham who just don't seem to be able to get their season going.

Badshot Lea have been steadily coming up on the blind side in recent weeks after an indifferent start and they are at home to FC Deportivo Galicia who have acquitted themselves well at Step 6 following last season's promotion.
