FA RELEASE DETAILS OF PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED BY CURRENT STEP 5 CLUBS

The Football Association has, today, released the procedure to be followed by clubs seeking promotion to Step 4 at the end of the season and have made it clear that all such applications must be with the FA by 30 November, or they will be rejected. This has been sent to all clubs.

There is a considerable amount of paper work that has to be submitted with the application so the League would urge those clubs who are interested, not to leave it until the last moment.

Promotion between Step 6 and Step 5 within the same league will probably follow the same procedure as last year and there is no need for any of our Division One clubs interested in promotion to the Premier Division to do anything at the moment, other than keep winning, of course!

Also the FA has reminded all clubs that there could be lateral movement at the end of the season which could see clubs transferred in or moved to other leagues at the same level, in the way that Alton Town for example were moved away from us at the end of last season
