Tuesday evening's replay results in the FA Cup went very well for the CCL clubs involved, with all six winning, to give the League a total of 17 clubs definitely through, with one replay to come.
That replay involves Guildford City playing Newport IOW which was meant to have been this evening (Wednesday) but has been rained off. It will now take place in 7 days time on Wednesday 16 August, which in turns means that Guildford's league match away to Banstead on the Tuesday evening has been postponed and will be re-arranged.
One of the ties due on Saturday 19 August in the Preliminary Round has been switched to Sunday 20 August, that being the tie Herne Bay v Chessington & Hook United. This is due to road closures in the Herne Bay area on the Saturday due to another event. Kick-off remains at 3.00 p.m.
The only disappointment last night was that we lost Bedfont Sports from the competition, when they lost 2-5 at Haywards Heath Town, after the first match on Saturday had been abandoned due to heavy rain.
Following the replays we now have three clubs from Division One still left in as both Chessington & Hook and Badshot Lea came through their replays, Chessington rather more easily with a 3-1 win at Lancing, and Badshot needing penalties at Verwood Town after a 3-3 draw.
