There was another twist in the battle to survive the drop on Saturday as bottom side Bedfont and Feltham snatched a 3-2 win against Colliers Wood United from 2-1 down at half time.
It’s still a very long shot for the Middlesex side but the win gives them hope. However their task was made harder by AFC Hayes shaking off their poor form and winning 3-1 at Camberley to take them 11 points clear of the drop.

Badshot Lea slip back having been hammered 4-0 at Hanworth Villa, who are now 9 games undefeated. However with Westfield 2-1 victors over Windsor the Villains stay 3rd. It was a deserved win for the Woking based side but they left it late with Blackmore scoring the winning goal with less than 5 minutes to play. That result means Hartley Wintney must wait to collect their title – their 1-0 win at Epsom & Ewell would have been enough had Westfield dropped points. However a point in their game against Horley next week would finally give them the crown, with plenty of games still to spare.

Horley themselves now sit in 7th place after a 2-0 victory against CB Hounslow, a game in which they dominated to successfully bounce back from Tuesday’s defeat.

In a game between two sides aiming for a top half finish Abbey Rangers held Spelthorne Sports to a 1-1 draw in Middlesex, Tommy Mooney on target for Spelthorne before Connor Gales equalised for the visitors.

Chertsey pulled away from the relegation zone with a huge 2-1 victory over Raynes Park Vale, a result that leaves Vale needing a significant turnaround in their remaining fixtures to stay up.

Farnham Town too are now well away from any lingering relegation worries after beating Knaphill 2-1. Knaphill now have just one win in their last 8 games. Elsewhere in the Premier Division Walton & Hersham won 1-0 at Sutton Common Rovers and North Greenford United defeated Guildford City 2-1.

In Division One Banstead kept the 10 point gap at the top of the table in place with a 3-2 win over Cove, the top side now 16 games unbeaten with promotion looking certain.

Redhill also look good to make it back to the Premier Division after they won 3-2 at Ash United, the home side coming back from two goals down before a late winner for the Lobsters.

With Bagshot’s game at Worcester Park being called off, because Bagshot could not field a side, Chessington & Hook took full advantage by beating Balham 2-1. Chessy took a 2 goal lead but Balham pulled one back in the second half and bombarded the visitors’ goal late on, but they were unable to get an equaliser.

AC London’s promotion hopes took a hit as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Frimley Green, Cunningham in the Surrey side’s goal frustrating the away side with a string of excellent saves.

Eversley & California too were held to a 0-0 draw, Staines Lammas their opponents. The result leaves Eversley 8 points off a promotion spot.

In a battle between two resurgent sides at the bottom of the table Dorking triumphed 3-2 in an entertaining game against Farleigh Rovers. At 3-1 up with 15 minutes to go the Chicks were reduced to 10 men, but held on despite conceding in a goalmouth scramble. Farleigh had further chances, hitting the crossbar and having a goal disallowed for offside.

Elsewhere in Division One, South Park Reserves and Cobham played out a 1-1 draw.
