Manager Mick Snowden Resigns

Its with great sadness that the club has to announce that 1st team manager Mick Snowden resigned after Saturdays home defeat against Badshot Lea

After 2 amazing years as our 1st team manager Mick Snowden has taken the decision to step down as his role as 1st team manager of Bedfont Sports.

Mick Joined us back in late November 2013 when he took on the task of not only trying to guide us to safety but also had to get a whole new team after all bar 1 player left the club. With Sports on 8 points at Christmas Mick did the impossible and kept us up after some amazing form in the 2nd half of the season. Its our belief that no other manager would have been able to achieve such a feat. In the 2014/15 season Mick helped establish the club as a CCL premier division club and in both seasons won the fair play award and help the club take steps in cleaning up our image.

Everyone at the club is gutted to see Mick step down and we are hoping to see him take up a senior role within the club to help build our young club for the future. Its fitting that the team put on a excellent performance tonight to secure 3 valuable points. The club will now take stock before making any announcements on what happens next.

Everyone at Bedfont Sports club, from the players, parents, supporters and clubs committee would just like to say a massive thank you to Mick for everything he has done, The man that mastered the Great escape and helped make our club a better place.
