Two CCL clubs through to the 3rd Qualifying Round

Three CCL clubs took part in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup and two of them have made it through to the 3rd Qualifying Round.

One is Jersey Bulls in their first season of entry. They did not have it easy against SCR, only promoted from the CCL at the end of last season and needed a replay to do it, but a 3-2 win on the Tuesday evening saw the Bulls through and they have been rewarded with a home tie against Chertsey Town, also, of course an ex-CCL club.

Our other club is Redhill who pulled off a superb result, winning 3-1 away to Phoenix Sports, of the Isthmian League (SE Division). Redhill have been drawn away to Yate United from the Southern League in the next round. Yate, situated near to Bristol, play at Step 3 in the Southern League Premier South Division, and are currently in mid table in 11th place with three wins and three defeats to date.

It is sometime since one of cour clubs made it to the 4th Qualifying Round but our best wishes are with both Jersey Bulls and Redhill. Matches are due to take place this forthcoming weekend.
