With the weather once again hitting hard just 5 games took place in the Premier Division at the weekend, the main action being at Abbey Rangers who held Hartley Wintney to a 2-2 draw. Having fallen behind Hartley thought they had done enough to win the game but a late Rangers equaliser from Pat Crowns ensured the points were shared.

Sutton Common Rovers’ impressive recovery continued with a 2-0 win over CB Hounslow, Campbell and 17 year old Auletta getting the goals.

Badshot Lea are now eleven points from safety after a 4-2 defeat at Epsom & Ewell. The Badshot Lea goals came in a contentious but perfectly legal manner before the home side stepped up their game in the second half to make sure any complaints they had would not be too major.

The biggest winning margin of the day came in Middlesex as Spelthorne Sports hammered Camberley 4-0, moving up to 11th place in the process. Spelly have now picked up 3 wins on the trot and will be particularly pleased to have ended Camberley’s seven game win streak.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division Guildford City defeated AFC Hayes 2-0, two penalties from Shawn Lyle doing the job there.

Division One saw a crazy score at Farleigh Rovers, who were defeated 11-2 at home to Banstead Athletic, Martin Smith, Danny Penfold and Leyton Regan all scoring hat tricks. Banstead are now four points clear at the top whilst Farleigh sit in 16th.

Balham got their second consecutive win with a 2-1 home victory against mid-table Cobham, whilst Worcester Park remain in 10th having beaten Frimley Green, who sit two places below them, 2-0 away from home.

To round off the action in Division One Staines Lammas won 5-2 against Epsom Athletic in an entertaining game, James Wilson getting his first goal for the club before adding another two to complete a memorable hattrick.
