Frimley Lose out in Surrey Premier Cup Final

Nottsborough 2 Frimley 0

Frimley Green, the first CCL team to play in a County Final this season, were beaten 0-2 on Wenesday evening at Imber Court by Southern Amateur League side Nottsborough in an entertaining Surrey Premier Cup Final.

To reach the Final, Frimley had got the better of South Park Reserves, Dorkinians, Farleigh Rovers and Dorking Wanderers Reserves and they had their moments last night, especially towards the end when they were pressing hard. If they could have got one back, the last ten minutes or so might have been very interesting.

As it was though, Nottsborough were a classy outfit and overall, deserved to win the Trophy, although Frimley were never out of the match, which was played in a great spirit throughout.

Congratulations also go to Farnham Town who, on Tuesday reached the Final of the Aldershot Senior Cup, with a big win (4-0) over Alresford Town from the Wessex League. Farnham will now meet either Fleet Town or Camberley in the Final on Wednesday 11 May at Aldershot Town FC.
