Godalming Town were relegated to Step 5 at the end of last season and were one of the pre-season favourites to do well in the CCL this season.
It hasn't worked out that way though and the club remains in danger of slipping down a further rung into Division One. There has though been a recent change in their management structure with well known locals Jon Palmer and Gaven Smith assuming the hot seat and they have certainly not let the grass grow under their feet.
Godalming are reporting the signing of 5 new players this week, as follows:
Kieran Campbell - Guildford City
Benga Ogunseye - Badshot Lea
Ainsley Everitt - Badshot Lea
Jack Howard - Ash
Leavan Sullivan - Walton & Hersham
Possibly the most significant is striker Kieran Campbell who has arrived from Guildford City and who has scored goals regularly for different clubs in recent seasons.
Godalming's next game is at home to North Greenford United on Saturday 23 December
