Next Season Season 2024-2025
Development Division Mid-week
In mid-week, our U23 Development Division will be operating. A number of clubs have already enquired about entry into this division for next season. One or two more teams will take this to a good competitive number. However, there may be enough teams to split the competition into two regional divisions; which is our aim for next season. This division requires teams to play mid-week under floodlights and have a ground with a minimum of an FA Grade 6.
The competition is aimed at teams of players aged U23, at the start of the season, but there is the option of playing up to 4 over age players. This is aimed at the development of younger players ready for first team action.
Consider what will happen to your U18/Youth team for next season. Can they continue to play as an U19 team in this division? Our aim is to provide that development route for players to progress into National League System football.
Division Two Saturday
There is an opportunity for several additional teams to enter our Division Two. This was started this season with the aim of providing development football on Saturdays. However, on Saturdays many of the suitable grounds are being used by first teams. We are allowing teams using a ground with FA Grade 7 (or very close to) to enter and there is no requirement for floodlights. However, if floodlights are available these may be used during winter months.
This is an open age competition to allow reserve teams but U23 teams are also encouraged to enter.
This competition allows clubs to register players with the Combined Counites League for teams in multiple divisions with a single registration for your club. This gives a cost saving and flexibility of being able to move players between teams when developing them for progression.
The Division Two is played on a Saturday with the occasional midweek game if floodlights are available.
