SURREY PREMIER CUP

Surrey County FA has released the draw for the 1st Round of the Surrey Premier Cup as detailed below. This competition involves Division One clubs from Surrey and CCL side Frimley Green reached the Final last season.

The rules of the competition are such that if either side has access to floodlights, the match must be played in midweek so as not to disrupt 1st Team matches and it would appear that this will apply to every tie involving a CCL club, so these games will be played week commencing Monday 17 October.

Surrey invite a number of the “old boys” clubs from the Southern Amateur League to take part and these teams should certainly not be disregarded, with one of their number, Nottsborough FC actually winning the competition last season. A quick glance suggests there are two completely new sides in the competition this season and they are Sandhurst Town, from across the border and Old Wokingians, who will travel to Ash United.
