COUNTY SEEKING A MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Location: Office based – Harrow, London

Hours: One year full time contract with the view to extending subject to funding

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 dependent on experience

Purpose of Post: Lead the development and implementation of a Marketing & Communications Strategy and work with the organisation on developing the marketing profile for a new venture linked to sporting and recreational activities.
Start Date: September 2016

Your challenge is to plan and deliver marketing and communications campaigns around our products & services for our membership activities and also generate income to support the Association. You will come up with innovative ways to engage the membership and can put your hand to driving new initiatives when they arise.

You will work with a variety of internal stakeholders and volunteers to support these activities and ensure that key business messages underpin all communications. We need you to contribute to social media activities, marketing, PR and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to collectively achieve some challenging business objectives.

This is a role that covers a range of disciplines and one that requires solid experience of co-ordinating campaigns, media relations, producing materials and managing budgets. Proven project-management ability is essential, along with an understanding of design and a good knowledge of digital communication channels.

Key responsibilities

Develop a Marketing & Communications strategy reflective of external and internal publications to ensure consistency of message and maximise efficiency.
Develop a social media strategy to promote the wide range of football services offered by the Association.
Develop a sporting event promotions strategy to cover media, events and partnerships.
Support the development of marketing activities linked to the organisations new headquarters and commercial opportunities.
Plan, execute and analyse customer surveys across the Association activities.
Oversee the Association's website ensuring that it remains a central resource for the dissemination of information to stakeholders.
Develop links within the local media community to ensure that there is regular coverage of the Association's activities.
