FA Cup Success for Bedfont & Feltham

Plum Tie Awaits in Next Round

The League’s congratulations go to Bedfont & Feltham FC who by winning their FA Cup replay away to AFC Hayes on Tuesday evening become our only Step 6 side still left in the competition. Their reward is a home tie against the well supported AFC Rushden & Diamonds who, of course, were formed from the ashes of the previous Football League club.

In last night’s match, goals from Jacob Lambe and Michael Dennis had seemed to put Bedfont & Feltham in a commanding position. Ronnnel Dennis though gave AFC Hayes some hope, pulling a goal back on 75 minutes but Lambe struck with his second goal a few minutes later to make the game safe for Bedfont & Feltham.

As a result of AFC Hayes losing last night they have now arranged to bring a league fixture forward to 12 September and will now entertain Colliers Wood United in a Premier Division match
