Busy Day for the Inspection Sub-Committee

Both Abbey Rangers and Eversley & California to be recommended for Grade G

The League’s Inspection Sub-Committee visited both Abbey Rangers FC and Eversley & California FC earlier today and found that both clubs had carried out all the work identified by the Football Association at their previous visits in November.

The Sub-Committee will now recommend to the Management Committee and the Football Association that both clubs now merit the award of a Grade G. This will then be confirmed by the FA’s Technical Panel in due course. It means that should either or both clubs finish in the top three in Division One, they would then be eligible to go up to the Premier Division next season.

To add a cautionary note, it must be borne in mind though, that should more clubs be demoted from Step 4 than go up (which will only be one), that could, if nothing else happens, have the effect of reducing the number of clubs promoted from Division One.
