Akinwande Joins Frimley

New Frimley Green manager Dan Huxley has already been busy preparing for next season and the club is delighted to welcome Dan Akinwande to the Recreation Ground.

Dan joins us from CCL Prem Champions Hartley Witney. In doing so Dan has declined a number of opportunities higher up the football pyramid. Dan will come in and take on the role of club captain in a season where our sole aim is to work to bring back CCL Premier football to the recreation.
Manager Dan Huxley was delighted to confirm his first Frimley Aquisition.

"Dan is a big coupe and a marquee signing as to demonstrate what we are building. He is a strong lad, possibly the strongest I've seen in CCL football and has incredible stamina, aerial ability and a real desire to win.
Although in his mid 20s Dan was late into the game actually only started playing competitive football at Manchester University, when converting from Rugby. He is still developing, and the development to his game since signing for cove 4 seasons ago is astonishing.

Dan and I grew up in the same area and I have played alongside and also managed him in past seasons, and he is everything I want and expect in a Captain. He understands what is needed to be successful, is a leader type that players look up to and is willing to role his sleeves up in working to achieving this".

There will be more news on Frimley acquisitions later this week.
