Southern Youth League Seek New Secretary and Treasurer

Robert Oakes Stepping Down

We have been asked to spread the following message received from Robert Oakes, the Chief Executive of the Southern Youth League.

"I am stepping down as both the League Secretary and Treasurer of the Southern Youth League at the end of the current season for a mixture of personal, business and footballing reasons that prevent me continuing to do the day to day running of the league but will be “moving upstairs” to become the Vice Chairman and I announced this to the member clubs at the start of March and gave opportunity for member clubs to appoint somebody from within the league’s member clubs.

As we have had no takers, I am now, on behalf of the league, opening the vacancies for both roles up to external persons and would be grateful if you could spread the word around your leagues and County FA committees and advertise the vacancies to your member clubs if possible.

If somebody wishes to take on the two separate roles, we would welcome any applications to fill these roles – contact details for applicants is below

Thanks in advance

Kind regards"
